On July 16, 2022, we went out to our first Car Show of the year the was put on here in our community in the Reno/Tahoe Area of Northern Nevada. The show is held at the Somersett Town Center and is a nice size at around 100 cars and allowing for an eclectic mix of many cars ranging from new supercars to old trucks to sports cars. We brought out the ’81 Mustang Race Car to represent us old road racers and had a great time for our first event now going into the larger events happening for the Hot August Nights shows coming up at end of the month through Mid-August.

A friend from up our street brought out his fantastic looking and in great shape,1972 Convertible Karmenn Ghia. Many show goers stopped by to chat about seeing this classic machine.
427 Shelby Cobra came out to play in our row. HISSSSS!!Our row at the show with “the Ghia”, our Race ‘Stang down to the Mean Cobra.Absolutely stunning and very rare 2012 AMG Mercedes Gullwing.
Wide body Porsche 911 and Carrera, both with iconic Ducktails, representing the famous German Marque.
Mid Sixties FORD Bronco along with a great Toyota Land Cruiser for the 4wd fans.Modern version of Ford vs Ferrari with a Shelby Mustang GT 500 and Ferrari 488More Supercars Galore with 2 Porsche GT3 Cars a Lambo and a FANTASTIC McLaren 720S in stunning candy blue.A close up shot of the McLaren 720S that is just absolutely BEAUTIFUL. The couple who brought this fantastic Supercar, we have talked to before at some shows as they also have a great Shelby Cobra FIA 289 Roadster. They let me sit in this gorgeous example from the famous race manufacturer and race team and I thank them for the opportunity……..and I fit GREAT!A fine Austin-Healey 3000 Mk III with rarely seen Hardtop displayed.Iconic A-H straight Six in all it’s British Glory……A convertible Gran Sport Buick represent the Musclecar EraEarly fifties Jaguar XK 120 “Drop Head”The beautiful Jaguar Dual Overhead Cam straight Six1931 Ford Model A custom sedan from the Classic Hot Rod crowd

Multi-Generations of Ford in a row…….1937 Hot Rod, Mustang GT and mid sixties F 100 Truck.Across from our camp was this clean 1969 Ford Mustang MACH 1 with Shaker Scoop Hood and classic mid seventies Porsche 911 with a Whale Tail…….And last, but not least, our 1981 Ford Mustang Race Car that will draw especially kids and teens that like racing with it’s very bright yellow livery in tribute to the Shelby Terlingua Team Cars……….This years logo for the show….. and a shout out to the Somersett Team that did a great job of putting on the show and organizing the event….Cheers to you!!
