HOT AUGUST NIGHTS 2024: Final Days of the Reno/Tahoe Event at the Atlantis Casino Resort

With our continuing taking of a few pictures at this years event here in Northern Nevada, here are a few more from the end of the week on Friday and Saturday at the Atlantis Casino Resort in Reno. We have usually stayed between the Atlantis and the Peppermill Hotel on South Virginia Street. We certainly saw a lot more cars and people this year on the Friday and Saturday nights then we have for the last few years, especially since the Covid issues……

Very cool ’41 WILLYS GASSER in a brilliant candy green with a big blown HEMI for motivation.

Pro Street Chevy Vega with similar colors to our “DYNO” STANG

Fantastic ’42 DODGE POWER WAGON in a great old time style with the blue with black fenders and running boards.

Very nicely done 1971 Pontiac Formula 400 Firebird

Quite rare Chrysler 300 wagon from the early sixties. Always loved the push button transmission selector on the dash on these as I remember my Grandparents had a special pillar less hardtop version like this classic……TOO COOL

Always cool BOSS 302 1970 Mustang in grabber orange

A totally period correct 1956 Ford Gasser with a built Y-Block V-8

Our little group in our “Traditional Spots” at the Atlantis

A 1970 Pontiac GTO in a unique color combo with Gold and White/Black Stripes

Our local friend Jim had his 1972 Vette down the way this year anchoring the rear row

“SURFIN SAFARI” Woodie……a ’37 FORD

Always a classic Muscle Car. 1970 Chevelle in SS trim in a very nice silver/blue

Very clean quintesential Muscle Car, a 1966 Pontiac GTO 400 with Cragar SS Wheels and raised white letter skins.

For the MOPAR FANS, 1969 Dodge Charger with nice upgrade wheels

Always like the early Mustang Coupes since we’ve had a number of them. This is a great looking 1966 with the GT Stripes.

A unique LOTUS EUROPA just down from us on Saturday night.

And finally, a rare 1962 Olds Star Fire Convertible in dark candy red. Pop had a silver blue coupe like this when I was in early elementary school and some of my first Muscle Car Memories are riding in that one in the Chicago Area. Very cool looking polished side trim on these beautiful cars…

Again, Thanks for stopping by and…….TACH IT UP!!!
